Warren was mentored in his pastoral call as a teenager by Dr. W.A. Criswell at First Baptist Church, Dallas. He then went on to have the privilege of studying under Dr. Bruce Waltke, who became his lifetime mentor, at Dallas Theological Seminary. Warren was additionally blessed to study with Drs. Haddon Robinson and Howard Hendricks while at DTS.
After a twelve-year legal career as a trial attorney, Warren completed his Ph.D. in literature at the University of Dallas and was called to work with Dr. D. James Kennedy at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church and Knox Theological Seminary in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While at Knox, he achieved the rank of Full Professor of Old Testament and served as Dean of Faculty.
Today, Warren serves as President of the Alexandrian Forum. The calling dearest to Warren’s heart is discipleship, especially helping laypersons to see Christ in all the Bible and share the gospel out of a deep personal love for the Savior. In the most recent years, Warren has enjoyed the privilege of training the teaching pastors of Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale, the eighth largest church congregation in America, as well as the pastors of several other large non-denominational churches in South Florida. Warren’s prayer is that all of his students will fall deeper in love with Jesus, and out of that heart, lift up Christ and his glorious gospel message to their friends and families.
